DAY 04: Your favorite show ever



This could really have been a number of different shows. It's more than impossible to pick a favourite TV series of all time but, following on from yesterday, Firefly definitely deserves a huge mention. Part science fiction/part western Firefly is the story of nine different people who travel together through space in a Firefly class spaceship doing any kind of jobs they can in order to keep flying and remain free from the conformities of  the modern system of government. With its strong and nuanced characters and clever writing Firefly is quite easily my favourite Whedon venture despite its very short run. That's not to say that I dislike the rest of Whedon's work, there's just something about the heart of this show and it's idea of freedom, and what that means, that really speaks to me. While Buffy will always be my first love Firefly is my true love.

You know I still haven't watched Firefly... I do own it though.

But I've seen Serenity a LOT of times. :)

Serenity is a great movie but Firefly is even better. It has a totally different feel to the movie. It's much friendlier and warmer than the movie. It's definitely worth watching, especially if you already own it. :D
