Jul. 17th, 2007 12:35 amTop Gear was absolutely brilliant tonight. Amphibious cars are made of win! ^_^
As always the main fault in Jeremy's plan was his own foolish self. Always pushing for the power over common sense. You think he'd lern his lesson one of these days.
It was however so very cute him rescuing Richard - "I'll give you a million dollars or a leg. You choose which one." :)
Anyone else notice that after all the teasing Jeremy gave Richard over the gay magazine (that he may or may not have planted himself) he still kept reading it himself. Something James also copied later in the episode. :P
The studio segments were highly enjoyable as well. Richard's hair seemed a little more cute and fluffy that usual.
I'm not sure what James was on though, freaking the other too out with the stories of how clean and anal he is in his car with his little 'dust brush' and needing to have all the air vent in his car all lined up? :P
Also the tale of 'drying' his pants in his mate's microwave and it telling him to 'enjoy your meal'. I think the question of why he was pantsless in the mate's kitchen in the first place still stands. :)
In other news I think I've finally got used to my new glasses. Had the strength of both lenses increased (the right to about 1.25 and the left to about 3.50) on Friday and they were making me feel really dizzy and spacey for most of the day. Still now I'm seeing things much clearer and one day of dizziness every yer or two is worth the much improved vision.

Date: 2007-07-25 09:31 am (UTC)Uh, you added me, and although you seem awesome and love Top Gear and Red Dwarf and Blackpool and Fry and Laurie and lots of wonderful things, and I'm adding you back, I was wondering if I knew you from somewhere?

Date: 2007-07-26 04:12 pm (UTC)Yeah. That test drive was probably the most dangerous thing I've ever seen them do on that show. I'm not sure why you'd travel at speed in it knowing none of the chairs were fixed to the floor.
I don't think so. Added you after I noticed you shared a love of the wonderful John Simm and I thought you seemed pretty cool.
I'm totally in love with 'Life On Mars' after seeing the first series on the ABC and although I've not yet seen this new series of Doctor Who I can't wait for The Master to show up. ^_^

Date: 2007-07-26 08:39 pm (UTC)Ah, that's cool. I can't wait for series one of LoM to start here. I am so infatuated with the show/him it's not even funny.

If you're waiting for LoM to start here you've just missed it. The first series ended not last week but the week before. The second series is on the way though I'm not sure how long that one will take.

Date: 2007-07-29 08:19 pm (UTC)I know, but have you heard of the spin off they're making? I don't know how I feel about it...it doesn't seem like the kind of show you can write a spin off for :P

Date: 2007-07-30 02:03 pm (UTC)Yeah I did hear that. I can't see how it would work at all. Especially if they do follow the whole coma theory.
I personally like the thought of Sam always having lived in 1973 and all the flashes of the future and the memories he has are just surprisingly accurate delusions. Crazy people are always more fun. :D
Apparently the US are trying to make their own version of the show as well. I don't think that one will go down too well either.
