DAY 10: A show you thought you wouldn't like but ended up loving

Most recently that would have to be The Big Bang Theory. When I first heard about the idea for this show I thought it would be awkward and embarrassing and stereotypically insulting. While the first season did have more than a few moments like this the second series turned out to be comedy gold. All the characters were able to grow into their own and become more than just their stereotypes - including Penny - leading to some wonderfully funny and at times touching moments. Of course Sheldon is a favourite but all the characters are funny and interesting in their own unique ways and the show just wouldn't work without a single one of them. Favourite moment - any time Penny and Sheldon are together. Their relationship is just so sweet and adorable. :)

Oh yes. I didn't want to watch it to begin with and now I'm hooked.
And I want to go back to the beginning to see how the Leonard/Penny thing developped.

And I never ever ever want to be inside Sheldon's head.

Yeah. I really thought it was going to be awful and didn't want anything to do with it. Then I caught a few episodes from the second season and fell in love.

I'm probably more than a little weird but I relate more to Sheldon than any of the other characters. :S

Really??

*giggles*

I like Sheldon's interactions with Leonard's mum.

Yeah, I find that I share a bunch of little quirks with Sheldon but to a much less extreme degree. I like there to be a place for everything and everything in its place, and can get quite distressed if people move things without my knowing. I like routines and am very hesitant to change. I also find socials situations extremely awkward and never know what to do, and when to do it, even when I'm with close friends or family. Even hugs are bad. I never know where to put my arms and whether I'm squeezing to tight or not tight enough. Just a few little things like that. But as I said I'm probably just quite weird. :P

Any scene with Sheldon and Leonard's mum together are hilarious. I love when they're discussing the likelihood of their meeting through Leonard and decide to do the math to work it out. :D

Ah the hug thing... I'm a terribly huggy person and I find that NZers aren't really. I do have a couple of friends I can go to if I need a hug though...

I like things to be where I think they're going to be because that's where I put them and I hate when someone puts the dishes away at my house in the wrong place...

OMG I haven't seen that scene!!!

I'm okay with receiving hugs (still find that a little awkward) I'm just no good at giving them. :)

There's nothing more annoying then needing something and not being able to find it because someone else has moved it.

That scene is from about halfway though the first episode when Leonard's mother comes to visit ('The Maternal Capacitance'). So funny, just like every other scene the two share. :D
