DAY 15: Favorite female character

Mrs. Emma Peel from The Avengers. A recent find of mine but Mrs. Peel is easily my favourite female character of all time. It's going to take something very special to knock her off the top of my list. Mrs. Peel is a strong, smart and independent woman who is all class and can be fantastically cheeky when the mood strikes her. She lives in a stylish apartment, drives a convertible and owns a wardrobe to die for. Recruited by special agent John Steed to help him solve mysterious murders and protect their beloved England. Proficient in all manner of firearms and a skilled fencer, Mrs. Peel knows how to handle herself in a fight having had training in both Karate and Kung Fu. Before meeting Steed Mrs. Peel proved she was more than a pretty face by becoming the Chairman of her father's corporation, and successfully running it, at the tender age of 21. She's often able to use her intelligence to solve the cases and to outwit and outfox the diabolical mastermind of the moment. Nothing ever fazes her and she never shows any fear to the enemy - even when constrained and seconds from death. Mr. Peel also knows how to have fun. She loves chocolates, champagne and is always up for a party. If ever there was a more perfect role model for women everywhere (and every time) I've yet to find it. :)

Hee. Those are amazing (I think I'm a little in love with Steed's shoes - and the gun and brolly). Where do you even find stuff like that?

Well, these were found at a toy fair we went to on Saturday, but a few years ago they were available in specialty stores (the one that had them here in Adelaide was called 'Movie Maniacs'). They're not readily available anymore though unfortunately so now your best bet would be Ebay.

They are most definitely awesome though, for sure ;)

I often visit 'Minotaur' in Melbourne. That place is geek heaven. Bit of a shame those figures aren't available any more. Nice find. :)

Minotaur is awesome, I wish the comic centre we had in Adelaide was as good as that =oP Why doesn't anyone sell any decent Supernatural merchandise FFS?! Anyway... (lol that's a rant for another post ;) ). But yeah... They were a pretty good find, and for the price as well I guess.

It's hard for me to visit Melbourne and not sneak into Minotaur just to see what shiny new things they have. I think I'd most like to have a replica of Dean's necklace (or Castiel's coat :P).

Aaw man, I was going to get a replica of Dean's necklace the last time I was in Melbourne but I didn't! I'm kicking myself for it too, because my b/f's mum went there recently and they didn't have any =oP Oooh well. One day! LOL Castiel's coat would be awesome ;)
