Just found out that the UK live stage version of the Jeff Wayne's musical 'The War Of The Worlds' is coming to Melbourne in September. What I wouldn't give to be able to attend that one. Trouble is it's around the same time as the Firefly/Serenity convention that I was thinking of attending. Depending on prices it may have to be one or the other. Until guests have been officially announced for the con I'm definately leaning more towards the musical. Of course if they announce that Nathan Fillion's coming..... :D

Plus, the guys who are running the con are the nicest people ever. Very organised as well, and their prices don't send you broke. I attended one of their cons last year (my first ever) and I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. It was an absolutely perfect day and the guests were fantastic. They had Danny Strong, Tom Lenk, Adam Busch, and Amber Benson (the Troika and Tara from Buffy) and all for a tiny $50 entry fee. :) 

Photos and signatures did cost extra though and I could only afford a photo with the 3 boys. They were the main reason that I attended the con anyway. Amber was just a wonderfully hilarious bonus. 

Also, I've been wanting to post these photos for a while but wasn't sure how until today (many thanks to ladybracknellfor all the help).   

This is the family house where I currently reside.

That huge-ass golden tree sticking up behind the house is actually in our backyard.

This is the backyard - with said tree.

It's always so pretty in autumn. At times the whole yard is golden from the fallen leaves. It's the closest thing to snow that we get down here. :D

And finally these are a few pictures of one of my babies. She's an Australian Blue Mountains Tree Frog. 







She shares the enclosure with a little male of the same species, but he's a lot more shy and I haven't been able to get a good photo of him so far. He prefers to hide in the leaves and make his presense known through his nightly croaking. It's the cutest sound ever. :)

Thanks. Though it is starting to get much colder now. Only a couple of more weeks until winter.

I'm not usually one to mess with formatting and usually just ignore all those buttons. Would have taken me a while to find the 'cut' one. Thanks again for the help. :)


Love the frog pics!

They're the first real photos I've been able to take of them and I'm just glad that they turned out so well. I'm still trying to get at least one of the male but he's not making it easy. :p
